Pamoja Afrika · Not charity. A movement.
A community-driven movement rooted in education — where people come together to share knowledge, discover talents, build practical skills and create opportunities for a more self-reliant future.
“Umoja ni nguvu”Unity is strength

Why we exist
We believe practical learning, creativity and understanding are the foundation of self-reliance. When young people learn to think, to create and to solve real problems, they build lives — and communities — that stand on their own feet.
That is why every part of Pamoja Afrika starts with education: in the classroom, in the garden, on the football pitch and in the workshop.
Elimu ni ufunguo wa maisha — education is the key to life.
Learning beyond the classroom
Children and young people discover who they are through many kinds of learning.
Hillock English Medium School · Kisiwani, Kilimanjaro Region

Where it begins
Hillock English Medium School began in 2021 with ten pupils in Kisiwani. Today 155 students and 15 teachers learn here, from nursery to Grade 7 — and in 2026 the school celebrated its very first Standard 7 graduation.
Hillock is where the Pamoja philosophy is lived every day: English from an early age, creativity beside the curriculum, and a school built step by step with the community.

Real-world connections
Learning grows when it meets the real world. Wild Bug Adventures has stood beside Pamoja Afrika’s projects from the very beginning, and Lille Bille Safari connects students and education programs from Scandinavia with Hillock School.
Through them — and through teachers, artists, chefs and local professionals — young people meet wildlife guides, conservation work and what a working life can look like.
