Project overview
More than honey.
By working with bees, local communities generate a sustainable source of income while protecting the environment and strengthening biodiversity.
The project began in February 2018, after time spent with local women in Sungo to find something that fits their daily lives. Stingless bees are gentle to keep close to home and need little extra cost once started — a nature-friendly environment, protection from ants, and good weather.
Women at the heart
Dignity, confidence, economic strength.
Women lead much of the honey production. Through beekeeping they gain practical skills, financial independence and new opportunities for their families and communities.
Each hive becomes more than a source of honey — it becomes a source of dignity, confidence and economic strength.
Healthy bees mean pollination, food security and balance between people and nature.
And the income reduces dependency and strengthens community stability.
A growing opportunity
From raw honey to small industries.
The project keeps expanding — towards soaps, natural skincare and other honey-based products. Our goal is up to 500 more beehives by 2028.
