Volunteering at Hillock School is a hands-on experience where you become part of a growing learning environment in Tanzania. You work alongside local teachers and students—not as an outsider, but as part of a shared classroom where learning goes both ways. This is about connection, creativity, and building education together.
At Hillock School, volunteering is flexible and shaped by your skills and interests. You can support classroom learning by assisting teachers, helping students with reading, writing, and daily activities, and sharing new approaches to learning. You can also take part in creative education through music, arts, storytelling, photography, film, acting, and sports—helping children discover confidence and self-expression beyond textbooks. There is also hands-on work in the school environment, including painting classrooms, helping improve learning spaces, and contributing to the development of playgrounds and school facilities for younger children.
You do not need formal teaching qualifications. What matters most is attitude, respect, and willingness to engage.
