Clean water. Strong communities.
Since 2016, our water systems have supported households, livestock and farming — transforming everyday life.
“Maji ni uhai”Water is life

Overview
Water changes everything.
The water project began in 2016 in Sungo village, high in the Ugweno mountains — a village of around 400 people, many of them elderly people raising their grandchildren. Water is used for drinking, cooking, washing and animals.
The goal is clean, safe water for every household in Sungo. Phase one is running; electricity, pipes, the pump and maintenance are the costs that decide how fast the next phases come.
Why it matters
Access to water means
- 01
Better health
Safe water for drinking and cooking.
- 02
More time
For school and work — not for carrying water.
- 03
Stronger livestock
Animals that thrive, families that earn.
- 04
Stable communities
A reason to stay and build.

From water to gardens
Grow, eat, earn.
With enough water, families can grow their own vegetables and fruit — and plant trees. The idea is bigger than food: linking village growers with businesses in town and with existing supply chains around Kilimanjaro, so small farms become small businesses.

Ongoing work
Keep water flowing.
- Maintaining water systems
- Supporting local management
- Expanding access to new areas
